Just "blocks from the Galleria and Highland Village", this "edgy" boutique with a "sexy vibe" and a "good social scene" is a solid "home base for a shopping spree"; the "delightful mix" of guests that appreciate the "ultramodern", "pleasantly attractive rooms" ("love" the "window seats"), "smiling" staff and "decent dining" at bistro moderne doesn't seem to mind the "loud lobby bar" and "mini" quarters.

Hotel Derek is stylish, given to detail, well-located, and the crudos and wines are the best I've had this side of Italy. The shower is another story.

Very attentive staff, rooms were spacious and comfortable, convenient location for business & shopping.

In hotel restaurant selection was not good for this level of hotel and no place to walk from there to get food, no self parking - had to use valet.

The rooms were very plush and clean.

I thought the cost to park was a little high but I don't normally pay for parking. The only time I did with only $5 but it was not at such a nice hotel.

The rooms and valet attendants and registration clerk were very friendly and helpful. I did not like the fact that they did not have a restaurant with a full menu open for supper that was not traveler friendly. I can see a upscale restaurant in a upscale hotel but I think they should also have someplace to eat with small children and casual dress. Would have gotten room service but it was a very limited menu and way too high. ...read more

Its so close to the 610 highway that it can be quite noisy.

I really enjoyed the location. Being that close to the the Galeria was wonderful.

They charge 20 dollars for parking per day. They charged $500 to my debit card incase there were damages. It took 4 days to have it removed.

The hotel was nice. It seemed like an older hotel that had been updated. The bed was sooo comfortable!

Hotel was decorated nicely and beds were very comfortable. Staff was courteous and professional.
